Fred Petoletti and 24 Lipizzan's on Circus Williams 1961

Buschbom was lucky enough to groom for Rudynoff, and I was lucky enough to groom for Herriott. What do you suppose GGW learned from Fred Petoletti?

Are any of these act's in this clip from Circus Carl Hagenbeck 1940 above Petoletti's?

Incredible European Liberty Act History

Fred Petoletti--1900-1977, famous horse trainer of the Circus Carl Hagenbeck's 16 trakehners. Son of Carl Hakansson Petoletti--1873-1947, high schoolrider and liberty horse trainer of Krone,Hagenbeck,Henry,Orlando Henning etc.

History of the Trakehner Horse

When ever I get to missing John Milton Herriott, and wondering if he is doing well and his health if fine, I have found all I have to do is throw a fork full of horse shit out on the internet, and the brings the good Col. right around. LOL I received this amazing, amazing photo and the 3 that follow, three day's ago from famed European Liberty Horse Historian László Szigeti after much groveling, begging, and pleading on my part, and I am very grateful to László for sharing. If we are lucky, possibly he will share more of his incredible collection. I was going to save them for an emergency, and if I hadn't heard from John Milton by close of business today, I was going to post them as a last ditch effort to try to get Johns attention. LOL I hope everyone enjoys them. I know John and I will and again grateful thanks to my friend, László for sharing them.

Autry - PageOne Purchased from Tom Mix, who used the Tennessee Walking Horse as a

double for
Tony II, the original Champion was a magnificent chestnut with a blaze face and four white stocking. The great horse first worked for the "World's Greatest Cowboy," in Gene Autry's initial sagebrush offering, Tumbling Tumbleweeds (Republic, 1935) which was based on a ditty composed by Bob Nolan of the famed Sons of the Pioneers musical group. While not having the opportunity to be as dashing as the original Tony or Ken Maynard's Tarzan, Champion was trained to perform a wide variety of tricks such as the hesitation waltz, hula, jitterbug, and to kneel in prayer by famed trainer, Johnny Agee.

Col. John Milton Herriott

Herriott, is that Apache's hip in back of the trailer? What show was this?

Russell Bros. Circus

I have been told this is a picture of a young Col. John Milton Herriott taken in 1903, when he was a Private. I think that is a wrong date, because John Milton is older then that, and the trailer in the background appears to be from the 1940's. Any insight?

What's going on in Europe? Krone has Togni's horse's and will be combining with Bouglione this winter for a presentation and Roncalli has Florian Richter's fabulous equine production(What is the Richter Circus using in Hungary?) for their 35 Anniversary Tour. Are circus's in Europe "combining" their talent's in touch economic times, although we have all been assured "business is great," with no family connection's, instead acting like smart business people and consolidating their efforts for something great instead of limping along, with it and for it with some low rent production, which continues to force people to find another avenue for their entertainment dollar/euro/pound?
